What health and safety arrangeemnts can be implemented for the drivers comming on site with poor knowledge of english language. Any advice will be much appreciated. Many thanks.

^^^ and suppliment (where required) with translated documents (myriad translation companies available). OP, do you operate a self-tip warehouse? (we do and we're in the minority). We've done alot of work managing 3rd party Goods In and Goods Out drivers that are self-tipping, the lanuguage barrier being only 1 issue. Happy to chat via PM if you like.

Ignore the comments re GI / GO and self-tipping I had in mind a different thread about warehousing, this won't be relevant to you!

There use to be a download years ago that was essentially a spreadsheet with common expected driver phrases in several European languages. Can't find it now (typically), but there is a free website that allows you to create some phrase translations of "driver speak" in PDF form; http://www.transperanto.org/ HTH Andrew

There is also a printed book associated with the website quoted by Andrew. It has a vast quantity of phrases in many languages and is designed so that you can flip the pages over and show the phrase you want to the driver.
