I have a very large piece of machinery being installed. It consists of two completely seperate packages but one package needs the other in order to carryout the desired function. Both installers are refusing to issue a declaration of conformity for the overall installation however will issue a seperate declaration of incorporation up to the point of interface. This is no use to me as I need a CE Mark and DoC. Has anyone ever heard of a Global Assessment Certificate which is issued by Insurers in situations like this where one installer will not take anything to do with the other installers work and a stalemate exists? Its an interesting situation as all parties (except the client obviously) are based outside of the EEA.

Who is the importer into the EC ? You will probably have to carry out the risk assessment and CE mark the machine yourself. (Although I would hire in a Specialist if I was dealing with this)
