II work for a UK subsidy of an American Company that manufacturers Recovery Equipment. I have recently had a customer who has purchased a chain kit ( 50 chains and hooks ranging from 7 mm to 20 mm) from our parent company. They now want these chains certified for use on a Police Contact. The question is can this be done ? The chains are batch produced and tested and not individually identified. My view is that the chains need to be replaced with chains produced and certified to EU standards, individually identified and traceable. Am I going over the top ?
