Our College intends to provide Wi-Fi for all staff and students by the end of next year which will mean we go from a “no chargers” on site and a fairly manageable PAT testing policy to the possibility 1800 items, all being plugged in at the same time! At the moment we only have a few members of staff that are issued with registered laptops and only registered electrical equipment, including mobiles, may be charged using the charger provided. We are probably way behind the move towards mobile communications but on checking a few other College websites they seem to have the same restrictions in place. Any advice most welcome!
