Good afternoon safety colleagues. I am looking for a definitive list of plant, machinery etc, that falls under the requirement for statutory inspection / thorough scheme of examination, but cannot find anything.
Grateful for any pointers.

Lifting equipment
LEV
Pressure vessels and associated pipework and equipment, boilers etc
Power presses used to be subject to inspection, not sure about them anymore

I think there is also something about testing of emergency lighting and water hygiene systems (legionella etc)

Try asking your insurance company or your insurance brokers. Ours provided a couple of good summary documents one was produced by Royal Sun Alliance called the 'engineering inspection guide' and one by Bureau Veritas called the 'inspection guide'. Both summarised the periodic inspections expected in some depth and the intervals for inspection. I'm sure there are others. Hope this helps.
[NB, I do not work for or otherwise actively promote either of the aforementioned companies, I only mention them by way of example]
