I have been asked by a friend would I carry out a risk assessment of the small local amateur soccer club facilities. The facilities are relatively modern and include clubhouse, changing rooms, all weather pitches etc. I am going to do this on a voluntary basis. The scope as I see it would include the physical environment and activities associated with club activity e.g. infrastructure, fire, line marking, erecting nets etc, reduction of risk generally and meeting their legal obligations. I have never done anything like this before although I am experienced within industrial settings. Any advice would be appreciated.

Aiden,
if you use any search engine on 'football club risk assessment' you will find pages of specific examples that you can use to guide you. The links are rather long and unlikely to work here so I haven't tried to post them,
good luck

There's the Guide to Safety at Sports Events (green guide).
This is most likely overkill in relation to the small, local club you've described. However, it's free to download and some of the chapters might be a helpful prompt for things you should consider, albeit in relation to small grounds opposed to major stadiums.

I think most of it would be pretty straightforward, but I would certainly add water hygiene to your list of hazards. If there's any kind of stand there would be things to consider there,
