Hi everybody
Anyone had any dealings with the ISQEM
(International Safety Quality Environment Management Association)
I’ve noticed that a few health and safety practitioners have the letters FISQEM behind their names which means a Fellow of that organisation. The membership of this group is free and only involves filling in their online form citing your qualifications, job role etc. This is vetting by a board and the level of membership is awarded accordingly.
So I thought “what the hell it’s free”. I was hoping that my qualifications would get me in at some level. (CMIOSH MIIRSM-RSP Dip-RSA AIEMA and on the HSE OHSCR with over 15 years’ experience)
So sent my application for membership in, no reply at all. Left if for a few months still nothing, so I send them a couple of emails asking had they received my application, still nothing.
Left if another couple of months more then sent another application in, still nothing so yet again sent them an email, guess what still nothing.
Anyone else had any experience of the ISQEM, if so I would be interested to read your comments.
I may not be qualified enough to join who knows.

I seem to remember this being an issue raised on this forum about 2/3 years ago. Must be something in the ARCH HIVES.
If I remember correctly there were many negative comments and few if any positive.
Crack on.

It was a great idea but the organisation was most likely under staffed although they did make me a member eventually.
