Good Evening, quick question aimed mainly at Principal Contractors, - IP who is a Sub Contractor is hit on the side of the face by a piece of 4" x 2" timber (not intentionally) does not lose consciousness just dazed. Goes to site First Aid Point and advised he should go to hospital for a further check up. PC's first Aid Rep says they cannot transport him in case he becomes unwell on the way, however they advise his work colleague to take him. No directions given to the local A & E (alledgedlly) and they go to their own town hospital some 20 miles away where the IP is diagnosed with a Fractured Cheekbone. Who is RESPONSIBLE for providing transport or should the emergency services be summoned? Unfortunately I am unable to read through CDM and do not have a copy of the CSP to hand but would be interested if any one out there can quote if there is a legal requirement or just there own procedures. Happy to receive PM's if its easier. Thanks Clive
