Is there a requirement (legal) to carry out weekly workshop inspections or is the term 'periodic' inspections, can't find anything on it anywhere.

i.e. workplace inspections being part of that process
How often you inspect workshops etc is up to you, weekly does seem excessive though - depends what goes on in the workshop I guess. Any particularly dangerous machines/processes etc that have safety critical elements that must be checked? Guards/safety devices etc?
