I would be grateful for opinions on this matter. I have mine, need to see what others think..... 3/4 of one floor used to be for staff Accommodation, but has been empty for a number of years. Now, the trust are closing some outside and intending to fill the 70 rooms. There are two exits, the area is by card access only, which deactivates upon actuation of the fire alarm. Does not come under HIMO, as it is on an NHS site, no emergency lighting. All doors are not fire resistant. Your thoughts? Thanks HB

Just going on what you have siad doesn't appear to meet current standards either the building regs or BS 9999 (code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings.

Are there any communal areas - kitchens / stores etc. Are there any fire walls - can you install fire doors Is there an L1 system in place. Protecting Escape routes and observing the RRFSO is a primary element, Would you stay there with no protection ???? at the mercy of fellow staff members In my view you need full protection - SBH
