Hi After some thoughts and opinions on the IOSH familiarisation days for those wishing to teach the Managing Safely course. I recently attended and thought it was a missed opportunity to learn. Too many games/icebreakers etc to make it a beneficial learning experience. I could not help but notice that many on my allocated day had travelled far and wide to attend and I wonder how much value for money people get for attending. I appreciate IOSH are trying their best and I cannot fault them for effort but I do feel it can be improved. Thoughts appreciated. Thank you in advance. Anthony

Regarding the course itself: We have used it for years as a baseline for our supervisors - common feedback I now get is how much the present version has been dumbed down. They feel that the certificate has been devalued. Our people are not used to be treated like children.

IMHO This sums up "smurfed" version of the course.
