If you can't stand the heat (kitches/serveries)

Typical lack of planning situation where these workers are enduring the current heatwave and all the appliances that cook and keep food warm.
Anything that works particularly well (or, indeed badly) as stopgaps until dedicated ventilation gets sorted? We've got the water and work routine-adjustment sorted. Looking for anything else.
Thanks in advance

Should have also said that fans are a little problematic (lack of suitable places for the desk-type things, fair bit of work for the fixed-type).
In addition, do problems occur for the food when it gets hot? Aware of the 63 deg and above requirement but does food perish particularly in these hot ambient conditions

I'm having problems with our chillier display units in the canteen, can't maintain the required temperature!
I've given them some portable air con units, but unless you stand right in front of them, pretty useless.
You can hire large industrial air con units @ £450.00 per week (if you have the money left in your budget!)

Same problem this week. Took a reading of 42 Celsius in the potwash. Ordered some portable aircon units that were self-contained. Had to send them back due to size! Got smaller ones as a temporary solution. Working well so far.
You cant really use ceiling fans (if thats what you mean by fixed type) due to dust being spread all around the place due to them being impractical to clean.

Perhaps try removing the heat rather than forcing in cold air. Exhaust air, for example might be a solution. Or try extracting warm air at ceiling level.
