Good Morning, My MD has asked me to write a health & safety action plan to present at the next board meeting. I was hoping that someone would be able to send me a copy of a good template that I could use as a starting point. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks Gavin

how about HS action plan ref / Action / priority / who / deadline http://www.hse.gov.uk/ma...elivering/plan/index.htm Everyone's actions will be unique, I'm not sure a template will help, you need to audit your system against a management system and go from there IMHO

That's what I did and it seems to be good enough for us except that the clever dicks in corporate services added all sorts of columns that are relevant to them- "Impact on reputation", who pays and stuff which matters to them but makes no difference to the actual job at hand.

H&S plan with regards to what? are you trying to reduce the number of incidents occuring, improve the safety culture, raise H&S competence of workforce? Before you can plan anything you need to have clear goals as to what it is that you want to achieve.

Thanks for the info gives me a starting point. The plan is to establish and build the entire management system from the ground up. Thanks

Gavin If you are interested I have a template for a system gap analysis which I use regularly to assess existing EHS systems against OHSAS18001/ISO14001 standards. It provides some nice summary charts and an "action plan" and is fairly easy to use. PM me with your email address if you want a copy.
