Hello to you all! I'm currently trying to engage my Health, Safety and Environmental Representatives by targeting a different element of HS&E each week (ie Fire Safety, Asbestos, First Aid etc) but what I want to do is align it with HS&E campaign weeks. My problem is, I can't find any! I've found National School's Fire Safety Week (first full week in October) but that's about it. I know that there are sometimes focuses following incidents or anniversaries of incidents but I'm looking for targeted weekly/monthly events! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Will

Hi Will, On my current project we have identified our top 5 risks through consultation with the site reps and then run the campaigns accordingly. A process of one to one engagements, coffee and donut sessions and supervisor briefings ensures that we are involving all those concerned and putting their ideas and controls into place so that there is a sense of ownership and one team working together. All of the risks are specific to the work currently being undertaken and are updated as needed. PM me if you would like any further info. Good luck, John.

There is an asbestos awareness week, stress awareness day, breast cancer month, testicular and prostate cancer month, national first aid awareness week, etc, but these are run by the individual organisations such as St John Ambulance and others. If you google whatever it is you are looking for, you will probably find a day or week dedicated to this subject run by one of the other involved bodies rather than HSE.
