Hi can anyone reccomend a training organisation who can train me to perform noise surveys? Preferably this would be in the NE / N of England.

Thanks all.

I think the BOHS may be able to give you a list of training providers too

Or you could undertake training for one of the British Occupational Hygiene Society courses P701/702 which cover workplace/occupational noise, its measurement and control.

I did a day at Casella in Warrington. Very good, nice people and I came away understanding far more about noise and surveys and controls. Their back up has been good too, they are always happy to answer my (sometimes slightly daft) questions.

Institute of Acoustics Certificate of Competence Workplace Noise Risk Assessment at Leeds Met. Very well recognised course over 5 days. 4 days theory and practical followed by a 1 day theory and practical exam. It is certainly not an attendance course and provides you with all you need to provide a suitable and sufficient noise risk assessment.
