Hi All I would appreciate some advice on the dreaded RIDDOR..... We have an operative who hurt their foot back in May 2013. As a result of the accident he took 5 days off work and then returned to full duties. At the start of September he then went on a "Lad's Holiday". He came back to work for a few days and now he is claiming his foot is hurting again and has now been signed off for 2 weeks. Would this be RIDDOR reportable? Any advice would be of great help. Les

Hi Les and welcome. In my opinion, no. If he hasn't hurt his foot again since he returned to work after his initial time off in May, I can't see why it would be considered as work-related. I certainly would not be recording and reporting this under RIDDOR.

Hi Nick Thank you. That was the answer I gave my board of directors but then I started to doubt myself. I just wanted some clarification.
