If a construction project, was planned to only last 21 days ( and should have easily been completed in that time) but due to poor weather / late deliveries / whatever it will now take over 30 calendar days, say 45 days. Should this now fall under reportable CDM and so be reported part way through a project? I believe it is, but know there are more knowledgeable people on here on this subject. I doubt it makes a difference, but the work is cladding the outside of an existing brick building with metal panels. Chris

oops that is 30 working days, not calendar days and 45 working days. Not a good day today. Chris

Whilst we still have a CDM ACOP, paragraph 17 clearly states: “Where a small project that is not notifiable requires a short extension, or short-term increase in the number of people, there is no need to notify HSE. However, if the work or the scope changes significantly so that it becomes notifiable, HSE should be informed”.
