Hi everyone,
I have been given a very short time frame to put in place toolbox talks. It has came as a bit of a surprise - but at least they are finally listening to me!!
Anyways, I was hoping some kind soul might send me a pack of TBT's that I can use as a basis for our own requirements.
I know, before anyone says it, TBT's should be specific to the site/tasks. I'm only putting in this request to save myself some time and fully intend to develop these before issusing to staff. However, I want to introduce these ASAP while everyone is still keen and having a strong base to work with will help a great deal. I'm sure we've all been here before..............
So, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

Can't help with any actual TBTs... but ... try typing the name into any well-known search engine.
You should come up with a number of things such as:
Lists of subjects - useful for knowing what you might need to prepare
Guidance for supervisors etc - don't forget they will need to be trained in how to deliver the TBTs
Free downloadable TBTs - that you could simply import OR use as basis for yourself
One site I found talked of 2,000 free TBTs.
A thought/comment: Assuming you sold the idea to your management it might have been a good idea to have given them some steer perhaps along the lines that it woudl take x months to prepare and launch, that it mgiht be a good idea to trial in a small location or team etc. But that is said with benefit of hindsight.

Though I'm no expert on toolbox talks (TBTs), I guess one useful piece of advice is that if you are conducting one, do try to ensure that you don't do all the talking! Give the listeners a chance to make comments or ask questions during or before the end of each TBT. This should enable them to clarify anything they're unsure about and hopefully also give you some reassurance that they've understood what they've heard. Also, encourage listeners to speak to you informally at other times about the subjects of the TBTs and also any other topics. Some employees might be reluctant to ask speak in front of others for fear of appearing ignorant or over-keen. In addition, try asking employees for suggestions about topics for future TBTs.
Though most or all of the above points will be obvious to experienced givers of TBTs, hopefully they'll be useful to those with little or no experience.

I have a file with listed topics I could send you if you would like to send me your e mail address for the attachment. It is Motor Vehicle related but you can amend certain topics to suit your sector.
The first one I started with, was the Health & Safety Policy. I pulled out main points and explained where to find certain pieces of information/responsible persons etc and then asked for questions.........I ask what topic they would like next from the list (their priority) and prepare for the next meeting.
