I have been given an ITSSAR Card by a Joiner on a Construction Development as proof of Health and Safety Training. The card does state that the course was Site Safety but I thought that ITSSAR was more Lift Truck orientated. Can anyone advise if this card and subsequent course is equivalent to the CSCS/CSR criteria i'm used to.

You are quite right - the following categories of card are from their web site
Category 1: Registered Instructor
Category 2: Operator Training Organisation
Category 3: Instructor & Operator Training Organisation
Category 4: Registered Tutor
Category 5: Registered Examiner
Category 6: Site Safety Awareness (Operator)
Category 8: Plant Operator
Category 9: Management & Supervisors
Maybe if they have a Cat 6 this is acceptable - never heard of it myself
