If you could have one book on your desk to use in interpreting and implementing HSE what would it be?
They are all very costly and my copy of Tolleys is getting a bit dated so long to buy something that fits the bill.
Appreciate there may be some copyright issues so please PM.

I occasionally refer to "Safety at Work", by Ridley. It is very informative and well laid out. The only drawback is that it costs about £90. (I persuaded the boss to invest in a copy).

I would suggest that the first, and inexpensive, step would be to purchase a copy of "The Principles" by Allan St John Holt.
After that perhaps persuading your emplyer that a subscription to Barbour/LexisNexis would be a worthwhile expenditure.
