Any views on the health implications of using gas powered fork lift trucks? Mainly thinking of exhaust issues rather than impact etc.
All comments welcome please

Assuming decent ventilation; minimal.
Far better than using diesel powered lift trucks indoors.

Agree with John,
We used them at a company I worked for in the warehouse, no issues at all the area was well ventilated but the operators never had anything negative about them either.

I echo the above comments. In a warehouse environment they are much better than diesel forklifts. Only problem is when the gas bottle runs out and you are a mile away from where the full bottles are stored!!!

We use a gas fired FLT in our warehouse, it works exceptionally well, no smell of exhaust fumes unless your really close, and more importantly, no complaints.
However, storage of gas bottles might be an issue.
We have 1 on the truck, with 1 full and 1 empty stored in an alcove next to a roller shutter door.
Should these be in a cage outside?

Yes far better than diesel for inside warehouse but they will emit carbon monoxide unless they are properly tuned/well maintained.
