Dear all, Would it be possible for some sound advice on undertaking a distance learning MSc in Occupational HSE. I work a great deal outside of the UK and find I have a bit of time on my hands as my family are not with me. I have the NEBOSH diploma, certificate and level 4 NVQ, all of which were done about 10 years ago and want to gain a further academic qualification. I have nearly 20 years experience in OHS having worked in a number of senior roles on major oil and gas projects in the UK and abroad. Any advice on the route to take, best organisations that offer the course and typical time it would take to complete would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Chris.

There is also a very good distance learning MSc on Safety & Risk Management at the University of Strathclyde. 3 years to complete although sometimes you don't have to do all of the first year dependant on experience.

With only 3 weeks required for on site attendance for the PGDip and a couple of days for the MSc, the Loughborough course is close enough to a distance course.

University of Portsmouth do a distance learning Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management MSc. When I was with them they held their examinations in Portsmouth or Manchester (candidate choice) to add some flexibility to the course.
