Can any one advise me why all JCB have a common keys, does that not leave the equipment open to theft and missuse? thank you

LATCHY answer to your question - Yes Why - think cost Same with agricultural machinery one key fits all - otherwise use flat head screw driver. To be fair they are starting to use individual locks. If you are concerned you can change the ignition barrels but when you have a lot of different people using one machine you would be for ever buying new keys we solved this by having fobs issued to each driver. This controlled what plant they could operate, as the fobs are programmable. but only any use on large projects with a lot of plant.
