Hello all

Is there a minimum size for safety signage? We will be relocating to a new site in the near future, and I am attempting to improve the safety signage on laboratory doors. I would like to make them neater and perhaps use a sliding plate system so that the signs can be changed as the lab is used for different purposes. The signage needs to be seen by people entering the room, but does not need to be seen from 10m away. Would I be limited to a minimum height of 100mm?

Thanks

As far as I can tell, they just need to be "sufficiently large"

BS5499 Pt4 Safety signs including fire safety signs - gives some guidance.

Letters 75mm high are deemed ok for a viewing distance of 12.7m, so this will dictate the overall size of the sign.

I think it is BS ISO 3864-1 that relates to safety sign size. I found some reference to it on this site: http://www.easyflip.co.u...ly_2012/book.html?page=2 which might help?
