One of my clients has applied a common sense approach and asked if we could remove hard hats from their plant rooms and replace them with bump caps. This is on the understanding (after risk assessment, of course) that there is nothing foreseeably likely to fall or strike ones head, it is merely to prevent injury if one was to bump into low level pipework etc. This all seems satisfactory and acceptable to me, but I don't appear to be able to find any signage indicating the mandatory requirement to wear a bump cap rather than a hard hat. Can anyone assist? Refgizmo

If that's the route your going down, TBT to all involved and visit http://www.online-sign.com/ to make your own, or just ring your local signage company to make one.

They exist, but all seem to be for US and other overseas suppliers: https://www.google.co.uk...amp;biw=1680&bih=924

Make your own is the best way. Went this route in a past job, one thing to consider is the length of the peak. Had a cap with a micro peak in the end, as people couldn't see up to work, so took the cap off!
