Hi all, We have some beauty therapy beds that lift and lower as required by the therapist. They operate on a worm and peg system electrically operated. Do these beds need thorough inspection under the regulations?

No the beds principal function is a bed not lifting equipment so no stautory inspection required. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/hsis4.pdf
