I am a registered blind person and live in Croydon, London/Surrey. Currently I work as an administrator for CHAS a health and safety pre-qualification assessment scheme and will have been here for 3 years on the 21 January 2014.
I am now seeking a career start in OHS & E.
I lost my sight in 2007 at the age of 28 due to an illness but i quickly as soon as i could started to find a route back into work. Since i started in my current role, the possibility of a new career path became a strong consideration so i set out straight away to sit the IOSH Working Safely course for a taster and immediately followed by the NEBOSH NGC which i sat the exams for in 2013 and passed at first try. This was all self funded and i hope to start or might defer until is reasonable to start a PG in safety health and environment either at Greenwich or Middlesex.
I was an engineer with a manufacturing bias prior to my illness and subsequent sight loss.
My profile is available to view on linked in, www.linkedin.com. It really would help my aspirations if i am able to get some hands on practical work experience particularly to develop my CPD and this is much more of a priority so i am willing to make some sacrifices.
Any potential employers please make contact or respond to this posting. Any advice given will also be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Dayo Adenowo
