there is an IOSH seminar entitled Driver tiredness: do your drivers understand the impact of tiredness on their driving ability? happening in Manchester on Thursday evening, I would love to attend but am unable.

If any of my peers that do attend are will to PM notes or other associated documentation after the event I would be eternally grateful.

The event you mention is actually to be held at Grange over Sands (South Cumbria) during Thursday afternoon this week. Further details available at http://www.iosh.co.uk/IO...Event%20details.aspx?Id={819C3081-85C1-49D0-9034-D376223AEBB7}&ItemType=VolunteerEvent

Also, though the webpage doesn't say so, the event has been organised by South Cumbria & North Lancashire IOSH District, one of the districts within the Manchester & North West Districts Branch. As can be seen from the webpage at http://www.iosh.co.uk/Me...nd-N-Lancs-District.aspx and its tantalising programme for 2014, it's a very active part of the IOSH Network even though its membership might not be large. It is also pragmatic in holding its meetings jointly with South Cumbria Occupational Health & Safety Group. This evidently mutually beneficial arrangement may be worthy of emulation elsewhere in the UK.
