Good Morning,
I am wondering if there is such a thing as an app or software to offer emergency 24hour assistance for lone workers? If there is has anyone got an comments on their use please and/or recommendations.
We have an increasing number of employees out in the field and I would like to look at the benefits.
Many thanks,
Mandy

Hi Mandy,

One of the ways we manage lone working is with a device called SoloProtect - it's an I.D badge which links to a monitoring centre, has a panic button and can also have a man down function. Doesn't replace management responsibilities of knowing where your staff are and what they're doing of course (there is a temptation for some people to assume that by just issuing the badge they don't have to do anything else), but I've found it to be a good additional control measure if used properly.

Hi Mandy

I have come across on the internet the skyguard lone worker system as well. Might be worth a look as well.

We are about to run a system called TrackaPhone as a pilot for some of our lone workers. It is not just an app but a system that links a mobile phone to a 24 hr monitoring service.
It is not cheap bur it is assured.
The real issue is not the gizmo but what do you after an alarm has been raised. That response is something we are working on now.

Afternoon all

I am currently running a review into Lone Working for my Company.

Mentioned in previous posts are SoloProtect and Skyguard. I have trawled there websites but can find no reviews for customers except as detailed from two councils.

Has anyone first hand knowledge of these two firms or any others they would like to share with me. PM me if it's easier.

Cheers

Rich
