Hello,

I understand there is no set requirement contained in any legislation that sets the exact frequency for electrical testing. however I know that its not uncommon to carry out fixed electrical wiring testing on a five yearly basis. (5 year inspection). My question is which guidance recommends a 5 yearly fixed wiring testing/inspection for commercial buildings?

I believe you will find the recommended periods in the IET 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
