Afternoon all, i'm having a little difficulty at the moment around workplace transport - i have various depots througout the UK with different needs at each location. Does anyone have a "generic" risk assessment around workplace transport? Thanks Derek

HSG 136 has a useful checklist at about page 120 or thereabouts. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/hsg136.pdf I found it useful in assessing various different yards. If you use the headings and/or the questions as basis then it ensures you cover the key hazard areas in each yard and getting local staff and managers to ask themselves the questions is a great way to get them involved. It is a form of generic template that you can fiddle with for your own purposes. hth p48

PM me Derek - I'm away from home at the minute when I get back I'll send you an RA that breaks down HSE 136 - it was the old version of 136 but its a good starting point. Be a few days before I get back to you though.
