I've been asked a question regarding dock levelers, should they be inspected under PUWER or LOLER? PUWER Reg 6 - exemptions - work equipment for lifting loads Should loading bay dock levelers be classed as lifting equipment?

Hi The principal use of a dock leveler is not lifting people or equipment. So this would mean it is covered by PUWER, if used correctly. I would suggest asking your insurance inspector though. Ian

Our insuers insist they are part of our LOLER schedule. I would always seek advice from them. Ta Andy
