Hi
I was wondering if anyone has a Simultaneous Operations (SIMPOPS) Assessment that they could provide me with.
I have been asked to create one and was looking for some inspiration!
If you are able to help me out with this matter it would be much appreicated.
Kind regards
Claire

I do realise that I'm demonstrating my ignorance here Coen; but what is a Simultaneous Operations (SIMPOPS) Assessment?

Frank: You may have heard of them as SIMOPS? Basically, an assessment of whether two (or more) things can be done at the same time. Commonly - can a construction or assembly project happen safely whilst production or operation is ongoing - or does production have to be suspended whilst the project is ongoing.
Or - if a project has two elements - can they share access or other facilities without conflict...
Most common conclusion is that it can't be done - but occasionally ways can be found that serve both aspects of the job and can speed things up - so a cost effective exercise overall.
Sorry Claire I don't have any examples in my current role and can't now access stuff from previous where there were a lot of shared access issues, and where some construction activities were planned within live electrical substations...

Thank you Steve - most helpful.
So, from your info, there is insufficient detail provided in the intial post to provide the requested info as the topics concerned could be anything?
Would a comparative FMEA do the job though?

I have taken part in various SIMOPS.
They are used in the process industry/oil & gas sector.
Sorry I won't provide examples
