I have been informed that the regulations are to change soon and that any room with a naked flame in a workplace will need to have a CO detector fitted. This would include rooms such as a commercial kitchen or even a science research lab that used gas burners. But I cannot see any information anywhere on this new gas regulation.
Does anyone with knowledge of gas regulations know if this is true or is it something that is only recommended.
I'm just always suspicious when sale persons try and convince me to install something by claiming its a new statutory regulation.
Of course there may be circumstances when risk assessment concluded that it was required but I have been told there is no option anymore.

I had seen this article last year, and though is about fitting carbon monoxide detectors in rented homes it shows that though what you have heard for workplaces is not yet a legal requirement it may mean that somone has seen a similar article to the one above that its is being 'considered'
