My Peer Review Interview in coming up in the middle of June has anyone got any pointers or advice from prior experience. Just know updating my CPD as I missed reflective accounts on quiet a few of my submissions. At the present moment I am looking forward to the experience.

Hi Derek, I have recently completed my interview successfully and the only advice I think may help is to have answers for the set questions once you have delivered your presentation and clarified any points raised each of the set questions are asked with follow up questions if needed. The panel and IOSH rep are very helpful and really want you to do well so if you can relax while trying to show that you are a professional it will be an enjoyable experience. Best of luck, John.

Thanks for the advice I am basically trying to cover the core questions and answer them with my current role. Just a case of getting prepared and send in my information as my presentation is been completed prior to getting my interview date.

Hello Derek B,
From my experience........ I used five slides for my presentation with simple bullet points so I could talk around them, this gave me around 2 - 3 minutes per slide and worked well for me. The panel cover the core questions almost verbatim and will rephrase the question if you don't understand or they want a little more from you. You will also have a question about the code of conduct, you do need to understand the code but will not need to recite it chapter and verse. I was asked what the code meant to me, I gave three work and personal examples of how I applied the code i.e. Competence - I make sure I am competent to undertake the proposed work and know my limitations, if I feel I am not competent I would not undertake the work etc etc.
I was really nervous before hand but the panel made the experience enjoyable and I achieved my goal of CMIOSH. Good luck and I'm sure all will go well, please let me know how you get on.
