For the uninitiated the firefighter on the ladder was telling the second firefighter to get off the ladder as there is a maximum scale for "men" on a turntable ladder. He knew they there would be a second man on the ladder and needed to ensure the ladder did not "break" during the rescue. When you think about the phrase "seconds to spare" you now know what it means. Excellent rescue.
