In order to overcome a manual handling/solvent spillage/dropped barrels problem, our maint department have fabricated a couple of bespoke single drum pallets so the drums can be placed into their final resting position with the FLT.
Has anyone done anything similar and how did you prove it was fit for purpose regarding PUWER and LOLER Regs etc?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

If it is a pallet, then it's primary purpose is not lifting, so LOLER does not apply, in my opinion. It is a base for durms, not a lifting device?

This is where I'm getting confused! It is purpose built for the FLT in that it fits over the forks with sleeves, does this make it a lifting accessory?
