Hi Could anyone point me in the right direction for how to write up a HS strategy plan please. Also, where do I find fun HS videos for training sessions, like an icebreaker. Many thanks.

Hi Karlsen, I would align the h&s strategy with the company's business plan as much as possible. What does the company need to do to comply with legislation and to improve (lower accidents, more income, less cost of repairs etc). When you know what needs to be done, you can base a strategy around that. Ask to see your organisation's business plan, work out how and where h&s can be incorporated and measured (SMART), and decide whether the h&s strategic aims should include e.g. accident prevention/reduction, focus on increasing marketplace profile through better safety management, less down-time (accidents, faulty equipment, imperfect goods), better educated senior managers (through h&s training), whether internationally accredited certs (e.g. ISO, or local OHSAS) would be beneficial etc. Hope this helps.
