Does anyone have examples of prosecutions? Removal of insurance etc as a result of poor fleet safety management? Googles been letting me down on this one....

Assume we are talking car/vehicle fleet? Not the grey fleet which bobs up and down on the 'oggin? I would have thought the removal of insurance is a private commercial matter between the insurance company and client. Not something that either side will want to advertise in public. Client confidential etc. So probably not surprising that you can't find much information.

Hi JJ That was why I was after it; getting to blunt objec time in the discussions and I wanted some solid examples of firms suffering for lack of decent road risk management. The fleet manager here is from the land that time forgot

Hi Nimble, Another approach might be to search through the HSE press releases looking for reports of relevant prosecutions, e.g companies in court following fleet accidents. You could also try the HSE Prosecutions Database but the search engine on that is a bit clunky!

Is this a DVSA Licence Fleet? DVSA work in conjunction with other agencies. Licences have conditions and the amount of attention you'll get from them depend on your Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS). See https://www.gov.uk/operator-compliance-risk-score In extreme cases, the licence can of course be withdrawn................only then would I expect any publically information to be available, but your Insurers may be able to glean your OCRS from the DVSA?
