Good afternoon all. We have recently undertaken some noise level readings in the plant rooms in which our staff visit and there are readings that exceed the upper threshold limits, therefore we need to undertake a noise assessment? We do not feel we have anyone competent within the business to do this and therefore will need to source an external consultant (does the forum permit me to ask for recommendations?). As way of competency, does the consultant need to be registered with any specific accreditation bodies or the like?

I'm an occupational hygienist as well as a safety consultant so could carry out your noise assessment; PM me if you would like to follow up. Otherwise, you can find a competent hygienist here: http://www.bohs.org/OHServices-directory/#
