Can anyone confirm whether such a struck (non mechanised pallet truck) falls under LOLER and therefore requires annual inspection?

Pallet trucks are not generally covered by LOLER (unless the consequences of a failure are high) but they will be covered by PUWER refer to; http://www.hse.gov.uk/wo...inery/lift-equipment.htm

I'd also check with your insurers. Some may insist that its on the LOLER schedule. Andy

I asked a similar question to the HSE a few weeks ago and the response I received was: "Neither manual or electronic pallet trucks would not come under LOLER as it only raises the load just clear of the ground so it can be moved." "It would come under PUWER regulations." I'll drop you a DM with some info.
