I always thought that emergency stop signs would be red to match the red button but the majority of signs I see are green to represent a safe condition. Some suppliers still provide both - does it matter which are used?

Thanks

This is an area where some discretion can be shown according to my research.
Your signs must be consistent throughout the premises.
I contacted the "British Sign Manufacturers Association", and they pointed me to some guidance & BS's to clarify.
I can't remember now which is the "new" colour.
