AM1, the claim payout for NIHL will depend on several factors:
the level of hearing loss, the age of the person and the length of exposure at the noisy employment. Typically a person suffering NIHL will make claims against each and every employer and the total award will be shared between each negligent employer (generally their insurers) according to the length of service.

The total amounts paid generally range in the very low thousands - enough to get a nice holiday but nowhere near enough to compensate for a life-changing condition.
