Does anyone know the current status of the Factories Act 1961 (FA61) and the Offices Shops and Railway Premises Act 1963 (OSRPA)? I understand the consultation was generally positive about repealing the legislation when completed in 2013 and I thought the repeal would be complete in April 2014 but I can't find any information to confirm this or when it will take place. I'm sure there is someone on the ball out there who can bring me up to date...please? Lucy

Lucy Look at the repeals made ny the management regs 1992 and 1999 most of the regulations in these acts had been repealed for years! Repealing OSRP was just another government stunt!

My understanding is that The Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Repeals and Revocations) Regulations 2014 were:- Made - - - - 4th March 2014 Laid before Parliament - - - - 10th March 2014 Come into force - - 6th April 2014 Refer to the UK legislation website http://www.legislation.g...dfs/uksi_20140486_en.pdf http://www.legislation.g...i/2014/486/contents/made I did not see any HSE press release for that! However, the outcome of the consultation was a "below the line" agenda item at the HSE Board meeting on 25th September 2013. Brian - thanks for that - I knew there wasn't much left but it's so much easier to know it's all gone rather than there a few bits left in the background! Jay - thank you again for your clear and decisive response, and the links. Interesting then that the HSE still list both FA61 c.34 and OSRPA 63 c.41 on their website as legislation they are responsible for enforcing?
