Can anyone tell me if diesel engine oil falls under COMAH regs after the Feb 2014 changes and if so what is the maximum limit could we store before reaching tier one? (mineral oil, solvent refined 60 -100%, Zinc and Dialkydithiopsphate 1 - 5%). Many thanks Linda

Passenger Car Motor Oils (PCMO) i.e. Engine/Crankcase Lubricating Oils for both pertol & diesel engines are not the same as Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) which came into scope . The former is a lubricant, whereeas the latter is a fuel. http://www.hse.gov.uk/co...uidance/hfo-guidance.htm Typically, PCMO's can be highly refined mineral oils with a whole range of additives, incuding ZDDP.
