Hi there I am in the process of reviewing and re-writing my employer's company car policy and driver policy. Having just listened to the webinar on SHP online I am keen to ensure that the policies are correct and cover the company as well as possible. Has anyone had any experience in writing these policies and would you suggest that I get it approved by any regulators or solicitors? After listening to the webinar (in the link below) I have had my eyes opened and I now realise just how much of a minefield driver safety is and how it can easily be picked apart in court if not written properly. Thanks very much Dave Link: http://www.shponline.co.uk/driver-safety-webinar

I didn't mean to sound so demanding with the post title by the way.....it's been a long hot day.

Hi Meady We discussed our drivers' policy with our insurers, and they were satisfied with what we've got in place. We have staff who drive their own vehicles on company business as well as those who drive company vehicles (and we transport our customers in the vehicles). I would be happy to share the relevant parts of our document if that would be helpful, if so please PM me with your e-mail address. Sam
