I am after advice for searching the job boards for H&S related roles. The obvious search terms being:
Safety; health; environmental; quality
Looking for a start within the H&S sector. I am retired RAF and had H&S responsibilities whilst still "in", and gathered a few qualifications along the way:
NEBOSH NGC
IOSH Managing safely; Risk Assessor; Manual Handling
First Aid at Work Trainer/Examiner; Paediatrics First Aid; Emergency First Aid; Defibrillator Trainer
I also hold PTTLS/CTTLS and a Level 4 BTEC in teaching.

Thanks for any assistance.

Just to resurrect this post after zero response, I can now say that I have been offered a job in H&S for an automotive logistics company....and I fell into it completely unintentionally!
I had applied for a forklift driver job but was told by the agency that the jobs had gone. However the company in question were looking for Team Leaders, and as I had experience from the RAF I consented to my CV being passed on.
I was then invited to interview - for the Team Leader job - or so I thought. I think I was being "sounded out" over my H&S qualifications and experience, as the following day I was offered the job of Health & Safety Officer for the company.
Talk about landing on your feet!
I handed in my notice today with my current employer and feel like I am on top of the world as I'm finally making headway into the employment sector I want to do.

It's less about luck and more about experience & Quals

Ex service people are good because they have self disipline and "backbone" that 30+ year old "teenagers" don't have.
We are reaching a stage where we recruit more or less only ex-services

By the way I'm not ex-services myself

Congratulations stretch!

Some folk say no such thing as luck, it's all down to working hard/smart.

You did a smart thing applying for the job that you applied for, conducting yourself professionally at the interview (you didn't really want to be just a forklift driver), going to the next interview that they invited you to, and performing well at that interview. No luck in all that.

As walker said, I expect the RAF taught you a lot.
