hi,i would like some ideas,help with writing a cover letter.ive just taken voluntary redundancy and im applying to get into health and safety at whichever role it maybe,cheers...david

Hi David,

Google it, that's what I did and both jobs i applied for using the cover letter template offered me jobs, just make sure you adjust it depending on the role you are applying for. There are some really good templates out there!

Use a template as a basis for your own tailored letter which should be unique for each application. Avoid generalities and be specific for the actual role - and make sure that the correct letter goes with the application i.e. don't get two applications mixed up!

and don't make the mistake I once did and post the draft copy complete with spelling mistakes and scribbles.

Never did hear back from them!
