Hi DES, If you are still having difficulties try the following-in no particular order: 1. International Labour Organisation ILO CIS -various info sources covering national legislation of UN members. I think its on NetLex but there is a huge range of info to surf. 2. EU OSH Agency in Bilbao-wide ranging European stuff. 3. Netherlands Embassy-some embassies are really good particularly Scandinavians and the Dutch. And many provide info in English-can you see that happening here? [Edit that out later] 4. ENSHPO-European Network for Safety and Health Professional Organisations -see what they can do I've never used them but this is what they offer ENSHPO objectives European Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (ENSHPO) brings together health and safety professional organisations from across Europe. The main objectives of ENSHPO are: • to ensure participation from all of the professional organisations across Europe and represent the views, opinions and concerns of this group • to operate as a dialogue partner with relevant national and international authorities • to co-operate with other organisations, institutions, and federations within Europe and beyond • primarily to act as a forum where practitioners can exchange information, experiences and good practice on a wide variety of pertinent topics • to develop a European-wide recognition of OSH practitioner qualifications and training. 5. Technical Univesity [TU] Delft-this Dutch university has one of the best Safety Science departments in Europe and probably wider afield. Someone here surely will be able to help and in English too I would think. 6. Try contacting Dutch firms located in the UK-Royal Dutch Shell for instance. They should have a good database of Dutch legislation, but how helpful I dont know-contact their safety people who are IOSH members maybe. Maybe IOSH can help with Shell or other delegates to conferences/seminars etc. But... 7. Linked In? Hope this helps, looks like a lot of work but that depends on your problem. I's the sort of challenge I'd give my students! Best regards Mike
