Anyone know what a ARM H&S programme is?
It is in a questionnaire from an insurer?

It sounds like Accident Risk Management which seems to be a buzz from Zurich Insurance

Worse still it is an Enterprise computer programme that links data from various softwares to develop projects - in this listed case Health & Safety. Amongst UK adopters are London Underground. Virtual H&S without experience or more importantly balanced consideration, just the kind of tick box insurance underwriters love. You may be the first to query in this forum but as the risk averse find more excuses to avoid providing cost effective employer liability insurance as demanded by statute I perceive many more posts.
Those in construction will probably be the first to suffer: ISO 9001 - tick ISO 14001 - tick ISO 18001-tick CHAS - tick Safe Contractor - tick ARM - ??? More cost, less successful bids Oh and a very limited number of suppliers so very little competition in the supply price

Martin, thanks, you seem to have it, now why didn't I work that out ;(
Roundtoit, thanks for the doom and gloom ;). Not a Zurich questionnaire.
I have been asked to assist with H&S for a newly set up construction company that will only manage projects. All works will be by sub contractors who I will competence check. I will be looking for them to have CHAS safecontractor etc. and not to sub contract out any works themselves.
I will now be able to answer the ARM question, thank you all.

Thanks Roundtuit; a great answer
and my thoughts include; having CHAS safecontractor and similar does not indicate that a company is competent nor managing their risk
